Rainy days in the Cape

The last two days have been cold and rainy – which is typical in the Cape in winter. Don’t get me wrong – I love the weather. The only negative is that I don’t get to enjoy the sunsets I’ve been taking for granted since arriving down here.

Yesterday, when I got home a bit earlier than normal, I nipped into the garden to take photos of plants after the light showers. The common denominator in these photos? Raindrop-heavy petals.

As someone told me the other day, “These photos are great! You must have a really good camera!” I do. And a few pretty good lenses too. And no, I don’t use a tripod.
