Portraits of water, a Photo101 blogpost

If my blogs seem to be a bit all over the place, it’s because I am following a series of photography challenges on WordPress. Every day we are given a theme and method to shoot the theme. Today’s was “water” and the challenge, to shoot it in both landscape and portrait (that is, horizontal and vertical.)

My story about water takes me to Lake Geneva, where I took a walk this evening with a family and their dog. I didn’t take any photos of the dog, who was the epitome of ADHD. I did take a few of their daughter, a most willing and patient subject. Almost as willing as the lake itself. Most of the photos were shot with my DSLR, but a few were from my phone.

Enjoy then a cool spring evening on the banks of Lac Léman with me.

yes, very nice! My favorite is the one with the two swans and assorted ducks and gulls… and the boats, too. Good character shots… 🙂

Agreed, they are all beautiful. If I had to pick it would be your 8th photo, very contemplative.
