In Kathmandu. Not a shot you’d imagine

Well, I arrived in Kathmandu (safely, obviously) on Saturday afternoon. I had the rest of the day off to recuperate from the 15 hours of travel, and then started work bright and early at 5.45am the following morning. We work on Sundays, which is a bit bizarre for this brain that’s used to church, lazy meals and an afternoon nap.

It’s also monsoon season here in Nepal, which means that we can expect plenty of rain most afternoons. Yesterday was pretty nice though, so I took the opportunity to go for a short walk. It’s terrible to see all the destruction caused by the earthquakes in April and May, and I will post about that soon. It’s also weird to see cows wandering the capital’s streets and all the troops of mischievous monkeys. For today then, just one funny shot near the end of the walk.

Both look hungry, poor mites. I hope you don’t come back looking like that.
